Living on the “wet coast” really does make it hard to get any outdoor training in throughout the winter. Once the weather does change for the better in early April, throngs of cycle enthusiasts are riding everywhere in the Lower Mainland. Cyclists of every fitness level and every level of expertise are out in their glory getting themselves in “rider ready” shape for all of the upcoming cycling events in BC.

So why not make the Wheel 2 Heal one of your first organized training rides of the season? Not only will you be riding in a well-organized, fun and challenging event with a great route, but you’ll also be helping the community by giving to the Eagle Ridge Hospital Foundation. The Wheel 2 Heal is a fantastic first training ride, I myself use it when training for the Ride to Conquer Cancer and the Whistler Gran Fondo. When you’re finished your ride, you’ll certainly know what else you need to do in terms of more training, especially when it comes to getting your butt toughened up!

That first training ride of the season gets you excited about the coming year, and all the riding that you will do. It’s a great way to get focused and a fabulous way to ease back in to the cycling year. So, Come one, Come all, Come ride with us in the Wheel 2 Heal. You won’t be disappointed, you’ll turn this ride into a traditional FIRST training ride every year!

“I want to ride my bicycle bicycle bicycle; I want to ride my bicycle; I want to ride my bike; I want to ride my bicycle; I want to ride it where I like…; I don’t believe in Peter Pan, Frankenstein or Superman; All I wanna do is bicycle, bicycle, bicycle…” – Freddie Mercury Queen 1978.
